BNL cruises to win over South at Otis Park

BNL’s Kinleigh Root and the Stars conquered Bloomington South on the front nine on Monday.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence posted a 167-233 win over Bloomington South during girls high school golf action on the front nine at Otis Park on Monday.

The Stars showed balanced scores. Sammie Nusbaum was the medalist with a 4-over 41, while Kinleigh Root, Emma Voris and Kadynn Canada (with a birdie on the third hole) all carded 42s.

“it was a better showing,” BNL coach Carly Stigall said. “The girls have been working hard, fighting for shots to keep big numbers off the scorecards.

”Kadynn (with her career best) played really well. She has been putting in the work on her swing and it really showed. Her decision making and knowledge of the game have grown, so it’s going to be fun to see what she’s capable of the rest of the season.”

The Stars will visit Martinsville on Thursday.
