BEDFORD- The City of Bedford Housing Authority will open its Hamilton Courts Apartments waitlist for Bedroom sizes 2 through 5. Pre-applications will be available for our Public Housing waiting list on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm and will remain open until further notice. A (10)-day notice will be given before the closing of the waiting list.
Applicants can obtain applications through their website at www.bhabedford.com, in person at the main office located at 1305 K Street in Bedford, or by calling the office at (812) 279-2356, Ext. 10 for Lindsey Hughes. The Public Housing waiting list is NOT first-come, first-served. The waiting list is ordered and ranked by
preference points which the family must verify. Please visit the main office or call the phone number
above for a listing of the local preference point system utilized by the Housing Authority City of Bedford.
In order to qualify, applicants must be income eligible, the annual income must not exceed 50% Area
Median Income, and the annual household income must not exceed:
1 Person: $31,500
2 Persons: $36,000
3 Persons: $40,500
4 Persons: $45,000
5 Persons: $48,600
6 Persons: $52,200
7 Persons: $55,800
8 Persons: $59,400
