INDIANA — Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is recalling certain Dunlop motorcycle tires that may have a manufacturing defect that reduces traction and increases the risk of a crash. The recall, identified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as NHTSA Recall ID Number 25T015, affects specific models of Dunlop TT93FGP PRO tires.

The recall includes the following sizes and models:
- TT93FGP PRO, size 120/80-12 55J
- TT93FGP PRO MS, size 100/90-12 49J
According to the recall notice, some tires may have a sidewall compound that contaminated the tread surface during the manufacturing process. This contamination can reduce the tire’s grip on the road, posing a serious safety risk to riders.
Sumitomo will replace the affected tires or provide reimbursement to owners free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed on September 15, 2025.
