GREENE COUNTY– The Indiana Department of Transportation announces alternating lane closures for U.S. 231/State Road 54 in Greene County.

Beginning on or around Monday, August 18, crews will begin alternating lane closures on U.S. 231/State Road 54 near Bloomfield. These lane closures will occur between the White River Bridge and the west side town limits of Bloomfield.
These alternating lane closures will allow for asphalt patching work. Work is expected to take a month to complete, depending on the weather.
Temporary traffic signals will be used for traffic control. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
