BLOOMINGTON – To improve safety and traffic flow ahead of Indiana University’s fall semester and football season, the City of Bloomington will install new all-way stop signs at two key intersections at 13th Street and Woodlawn Avenue and 13th Street and Indiana Avenue. Installation is scheduled for the week of August 11.

The change follows a Transportation Commission review and is supported by crash data that meets national criteria for all-way stop control. Seven right-angle crashes occurred at 13th & Woodlawn within 12 months.
Temporary signage and other awareness tools will help drivers adjust. The City is also partnering with Indiana University to support outreach to ensure the community is informed about the changes.
