Indiana Department of Health to host monthly viral hepatitis office hours

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) is launching a new initiative to provide ongoing support and crucial information regarding viral hepatitis surveillance. Starting this August, the IDOH Viral Hepatitis Surveillance team will host monthly “Viral Hepatitis Office Hours,” offering valuable insights and a dedicated platform for discussion.

These recurring sessions are designed to be a comprehensive resource for healthcare professionals and anyone interested in learning more about viral hepatitis. Each office hour will include:

  • Mini-sessions covering a monthly topic: These focused presentations will delve into key aspects of viral hepatitis.
  • Time for case presentation(s) and/or scenario(s): Attendees will have the opportunity to present and discuss real-world cases or hypothetical scenarios related to hepatitis B (HBV) or hepatitis C (HCV).
  • Question and Answer session: An open forum for participants to ask questions and receive expert answers about HBV and HCV surveillance.

The first Viral Hepatitis Office Hour is scheduled for Monday, August 11, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
