Robert Hedge, 78, of Williams, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his residence.
Born February 3, 1947, in Bedford, he was the son of Clyde and Frances (Pierce) Hedge. He married Brenda Chastain on July 2, 1971, and she survives. He retired from General Motors after 30 + years as a tool and die maker. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of U.A.W. Local 440.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of Williams; two sons, Randy Inman, of Williams, and Jason Hedge, of Bedford; five grandchildren, Alison (Ryan) Rosson, Laken Inman, Jade Inman, Chesney Hedge, and Trenten Inman; two great-grandchildren, Mason Axsom and Kinsley Rosson; a sister, Rita (Jeff) Brooking; a brother, Randy Hedge, all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Stephen “Pete” Hedge, Gary Hedge, and Tony Hedge.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Port Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
