FORT WAYNE – Fort Wayne Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, July 19, 2025, on River Run Trail, leaving a young male deceased. The victim’s identity remains unknown at this time.
At approximately 3:03 a.m. on Saturday, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 1800 River Run Trail. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s).
The victim, described as a black male between 15 and 20 years old, approximately 5’11” tall, weighing around 123 pounds, and having a chipped front tooth, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Fort Wayne Police Department’s Homicide Division is actively investigating this incident and is seeking the public’s assistance.
