BLOOMINGTON – The Indiana University Credit Union (IUCU) and Indiana State Police are issuing an urgent alert to its members regarding a wave of fraudulent phone calls.
Scammers are reportedly “spoofing” the IUCU’s telephone number, making it appear as though the calls are originating directly from the credit union.

During these deceptive calls, the caller attempts to solicit account information from members, often citing supposed “out-of-country purchases.”
IUCU emphasizes that the credit union will never call members after business hours and request their account number over the telephone. They want to ensure all members are aware of the scam and to protect their financial information. ISP says if you receive a call, especially outside of regular business hours, asking for sensitive account details, hang up immediately.
Members who receive such calls are urged to report them directly to IUCU and ISP as soon as possible.
