Linda Lou Giles, 85, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Indiana University Hospital Bloomington.
She was born on May 24, 1940, in Bedford, Indiana, to the late William “Bud” and Marie (McCain) Jackson. She married Jack Giles on December 2, 2006, in Bedford, and he survives. Linda graduated from Shawswick High School. She was a very active member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church. All loved Linda, but most of all, she loved her family fiercely.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jack Giles; her stepdaughter, Mary Dee (Dean I.) Kern; sisters, Marilyn Johnson, Janet Jones, and Nedra (Lynn) Wade; sister-in-law, Jill (Mike) Smith; and nieces and nephews, Michael Jones, Todd Johnson, Julie Karvoski, Meleah McCart, Michah Faubion, Michelle Atchison, Mindy Besley, and Matthew Smith.

Giles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, located at 818 18th Street, Bedford, Indiana, with Pastor Jeff Huddleson officiating. Burial will follow at Leatherwood Cemetery in Bedford, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
