BARTHOLOMEW CO – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor 5 Star Company, Inc., is scheduled to close State Road 11 just north of Waynesville on or after Friday, July 11, to complete a small structure replacement project in Bartholomew County.
The closure will take place on S.R. 11 between East Main Cross Street and East County Road 550 South, located just south of East County Road 450 South (Southern Crossing).
State Road 11 is expected to reopen in mid-August, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows I-65 to S.R. 46.
This project is part of a $1.7 million contract awarded to 5 Star in December 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
