BEDFORD – Several Bedford streets are tentatively scheduled for paving work from July 8 to July 11, weather permitting. The work will occur daily between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Residents and motorists should be aware of the following streets impacted by the upcoming paving:
- Lincoln Avenue from 12th Street to 9th Street
- L Street from 16th Street to 12th Street
- GM Drive from 5th Street to Breckenridge Road
- 19th Street from Washington Avenue to Sienna Drive
- Ludlow Drive
During these periods, on-street parking will not be permitted on the affected roads. The city has already notified the postal service and all emergency personnel about the closures.
Residents expecting deliveries are asked to contact their delivery services to inform them of the temporary street closures. Motorists are also encouraged to avoid these streets if possible and to exercise patience, caution, and awareness of heavy equipment in the work zones.
Regular residential trash pickup will continue as usual.
City officials apologize for any inconvenience caused by these necessary improvements to Bedford’s streets and thank residents in advance for their cooperation.
