City of Bedford street milling scheduled for June 30 – July 2

BEDFORD – The City of Bedford has announced a tentative schedule for street milling operations set to begin on Monday, June 30th, and continue through Wednesday, July 2nd. These essential road improvements will impact several key areas within the city.

Residents and commuters are advised that the work will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., weather permitting. During these times, on-street parking will be prohibited on the affected roads.

The milling schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, June 30: GM Drive from 5th Street to Breckenridge Road.
  • Tuesday, July 1: 19th Street from Washington Avenue to Sienna Drive, and Ludlow Drive.
  • Wednesday, July 2: Lincoln Avenue from 12th Street to 9th Street, and L Street from 16th Street to 12th Street.

The City has notified the postal service and all emergency personnel of these temporary closures. Residents expecting deliveries during this period are encouraged to contact their delivery services to make them aware of the road closures.

Drivers are asked to avoid these streets if possible and to exercise extreme patience, caution, and awareness of heavy equipment operating in these areas.

Residential trash pick-up will proceed as usual, despite the milling operations.

Officials apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation as the city improves its streets.
