BREMEN DISTRICT—The Indiana State Police conducted a Wolfpack Patrol in St. Joseph County the first two nights of summer.
On both Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, Troopers focused on the Cleveland Road and State Road 23 area in Granger after receiving numerous complaints concerning speeding vehicles and motorcycles.

These targeted, high-visibility patrols emphasize proactive policing and criminal interdiction as part of our commitment to the community.
These patrols resulted in:
- 80 tickets
- 81 warnings
- 9 OWI arrests
- 2 warrant arrests
- 33 misdemeanor arrests
- 14 felony arrests
- 10 defendants taken to jail
- 12 defendants with charges to be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office
- 15 assists with other agencies
Four reckless driving arrests were made, two of which involved motorcycles. Speeds ranged from 74 miles per hour to 102 miles per hour in the SR23/Cleveland Road area. An additional bike was stopped for speeding, and the rider was found to have never received a driver’s license.
With summer here, the Indiana State Police would like to remind everyone that keeping our roads safe is a responsibility we all share. Follow the speed limit, drive responsibly, and drive sober.
The Indiana State Police will continue to maintain high visibility, focused patrols throughout the communities we serve, utilizing proactive enforcement, investigative efforts, and crime prevention strategies to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
