ORLEANS- Town Marshal Lindsey is reminding citizens of the Town of Orleans to lock their vehicles and to make sure they secure all outbuildings. There has been a rash of car break-ins (which have been left unlocked). Orleans has also experienced an increase in the theft of items from garages and items left out overnight. Orleans Police have increased their presence in the residential areas and encourage citizens to stay vigilant. If you see or hear something, please call the department at 812-865-2222. No matter how small something might seem, it could lead to an arrest. Officers are prepared to respond to incidents with the hope of identifying those responsible.
