Obituary: Marjorie L. Bartlett

December 11, 1931 – June 11, 2025

Marjorie L. Bartlett,93, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born December 11, 1931, in Heltonville, she was the daughter of Jason and Pink (Hawkins) Chambers. She married Bernard D. Bartlett on December 11, 1953, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 1994.

She graduated from Heltonville High School in 1951. She worked at various businesses in Bedford. She attended First Church of God most of her life. At her death, she was a member of Dive Christian Church. She loved her Lord and Savior, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. She was the last of nine siblings to leave this earth.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Spinks Davis, and husband, Tim of Bedford; one son, Daniel Bartlett, and wife Jennifer of Springville; four grandchildren, Maria (Joe) Brock of Orleans, Marla (Nathan) Banks of Mitchell, Nathaniel “Nate” (Gabby) Bartlett of Bedford, Emily Bartlett of Springville; five great grandchildren, Javen Brock, Grayson Banks, Koehn Brock, Liam Banks, Cameron Banks; sisters-in-law, Velma Chambers and Patty Bartlett, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Ray, Leonard, Herman, and Billy (in infancy) Chambers, four sisters, Louise Bailey, Helen Davis, Betty Malott, Sarah Bundy, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 16th at 11:00 am at the Gilgal Cemetery. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dive Christian Church Children’s Ministry. The family would like to thank the staff of Stonebridge Health Campus and Southern Care Hospice for the loving care they provided Marjorie over the last several years.
