BEDFORD- In observance of World Environment Day, General Motors’ Environmental Team at Bedford Casting Operations will host a free electronics recycling event on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The event aims to help residents responsibly dispose of electronic waste.
The recycling drive will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at GM Bedford Casting Operations, Entrance #3, located at 105 GM Drive, Bedford, Indiana.
Most electronic waste with a power cord or circuit board will be accepted at no charge. Accepted items include:
- Small Batteries
- Cameras
- CD Players/DVD Players
- Cell Phones/Smart Phones
- Computers/Keyboards/Mouse
- Gaming Consoles/Systems
- Televisions
- Printers
- Radios
- Small Home Appliances
- Other Electronic Devices
Items that will not be accepted include:
- Refrigerant Units
- Light Bulbs
- Smoke Detectors
- Small Engines
- Thermostats
According to GM, most electronics are 100% recyclable, and this event provides an opportunity for households to clear out valuable space while contributing to environmental stewardship.
