BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly trespassing on a property from which she had previously been banned.
Autumn R. McCluskey, 43, was taken into custody on May 19, following a report of an unwanted person at an address on J Street.

According to an affidavit for probable cause filed by Bedford Police Department Officer Clay Blackburn, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of J Street at approximately 1:15 p.m. after the caller found McCluskey in the caller’s backyard. Dispatch had informed officers that McCluskey had been trespassed from the property a couple of days prior.
Upon arrival, Officer Blackburn found McCluskey asleep in a lawn chair in the backyard. When questioned, McCluskey claimed the caller had given her permission to return to the residence as long as she wasn’t drinking, stating she was there to “sleep for a little while”.
Officer Blackwell arrived shortly after and spoke with the complainant, the caller, who verified that she had never permitted McCluskey to return to the property. Officer Blackburn then placed McCluskey into custody.
The affidavit states that McCluskey was officially trespassed from the J Street home on May 17 at 6:45 p.m. and acknowledged this by signing a notification form.
McCluskey was transported to the Lawrence County Jail and remanded.
