Storm relief supplies available for Monroe County tornado survivors

BLOOMINGTON—Monroe County residents impacted by the tornado that struck on Friday, May 16th, can now pick up limited supplies of tarps and totes at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, located at 2700 East Rogers Road.

Storm survivors in need can visit the church to collect these essential items during the following times:

  • Monday, May 19th: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 20th: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The supply of tarps and totes is limited, so those in need are encouraged to visit as soon as possible during the designated hours.

The Sherwood Oaks Christian Church also serves as a donation point for tarps and totes ONLY. Individuals interested in contributing these specific items to aid storm survivors can drop off their donations at the exact location during the following times:

  • Monday, May 19th: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 20th: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please note that only donations of tarps and totes are currently being accepted at this location.

Supplies for survivors and donations will be picked up and dropped off at the circled location on the map provided at the church.

This effort aims to provide immediate assistance to those whose homes and properties were damaged by the recent severe weather. Monroe County residents needing tarps and totes are urged to use this resource while supplies last.
