LINTON– A tragic single-vehicle accident on Friday evening claimed the life of the driver and left three juvenile passengers injured, one critically. The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on May 16, 2025, near the 1461 N 1500 W block in Linton, Indiana.
According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call regarding a single vehicle with a tree on top. Upon arrival at the scene, the driver of a black 2006 Pontiac G6, identified as Allison L. McCammon, 33, of Dugger, was pronounced deceased.
Three juvenile passengers were also involved in the accident. While the report does not specify the exact ages or genders of the juveniles, it indicates that one of them sustained critical injuries. All three juveniles were transported for medical treatment, with the critically injured passenger requiring immediate attention.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Shelton is the lead investigating officer.
The Greene County Ambulance Service, the Greene County Coroner’s Office, and the Linton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
