New flagpole expected to be ready in Orleans for Memorial Day

ORLEANS- The Town of Orleans is getting a new flagpole. The previous historic 55-foot pole was destroyed earlier this year by the March tornado that struck the Orleans area.  The new 40-foot pole is expected to be installed by Johnny’s Signs in time for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday.  A dedication of the new pole and flag raising ceremony is planned for June 14th (Flag Day) in conjunction with Orange County’s America 250 Kick Off being held in the historic town park square.
