JACKSON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., is scheduled to begin an intersection improvement project on U.S. 50 on or after Monday, May 19, east of Seymour.
Intersection improvement will occur between North County Road 1225 East and North County Road 1250 East, approximately 1.5 miles east of Seymour. Motorists can expect the following restrictions at this location through late July, weather permitting: The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph. An 11-foot width limit will be in effect on eastbound and westbound U.S. 50. North County Road 1250 East will be closed at U.S. 50.
This work is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Milestone in January 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
