SALEM – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc., is scheduled to begin a pipe lining project along State Road 56 east of Salem on or after Tuesday, May 27.
Work will take place between East Canton Road and North Coombs Road, approximately 2.2 miles east of State Road 60 (Salem Bypass). Weather permitting, it is expected to be complete in late June.
Shoulder closures and intermittent flagging operations will be used while work progresses.
This work is part of a contract awarded to E&B in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
