Indiana State Police conducts Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Patrol on U.S. 41

INDIANA – On May 9, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) conducted a statewide patrol operation along U.S. 41, targeting unsafe driving behaviors and commercial vehicle compliance.

During the four-hour enforcement effort, troopers focused on traffic stops involving speeding, unsafe lane movement, following too closely, and seatbelt violations. As a result, officers conducted 34 commercial vehicle inspections.

During these inspections, 55 violations were identified. These violations included both driver-related and equipment-related issues, highlighting the importance of ongoing enforcement efforts.
