Carolyn Ruth (Drabing) Ott, 88, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
She was born on April 17, 1937, in French Lick, the daughter of Albert and Opal Drabing. Carolyn married Lyle ‘Bud’ Ott, who preceded her in death.
Carolyn was of Christian faith and a member of the Paoli Christian Church. Carolyn graduated from French Lick High School in the class of 1955. Carolyn worked for the Orange County Hospital for 27 years as a medical records specialist. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bedford Boat and Sportsman Club and a member of Phi Beta Sigma. Carolyn loved traveling, hummingbirds, listening to Elvis, and watching Colts football and IU basketball.
Surviving to Cherish Carolyn’s memory are one daughter, Linda (Jon) Marshall; two sons, Mark (Jean) Wilson and Steve (Pamela) Wilson; five grandchildren, Tyler (Coreylyn) Marshall, Jennifer Marshall, Breanna Wilson, Christopher (Ali) Wilson, and Alex Wilson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Carolyn in death are her parents, Albert Drabing and Opal Drabing, and her husband, Lyle ‘Bud’ Ott.
Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferguson- Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Pastor Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m., also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel in Bedford.
