BEDFORD- On April 30, 2025, a Mitchell man was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections by Lawrence Superior Court I Judge John M. Plummer III after failing to comply with the terms of his probation.Â
Collin B. Flynn, 34, pled guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, a Level 6 felony in one case and Possession of a Narcotic Drug, a Level 6 Felony as part of another case, in a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana. Flynn was sentenced to 1,820 days total in the Indiana Department of Corrections with all time suspended and put on supervised probation for 910 days.Â
However, after violating his terms and conditions of probation, Flynn’s suspended sentence was revoked and ordered into execution. Judge Plummer sentenced Flynn to 1,820 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections with credit for actual days in jail to be applied. Senior Deputy Prosecutor Sarah Cummings: “This Defendant was given the opportunity to stay in the community and work with probation to rehabilitate his life. However, this Defendant was ignoring the terms and conditions that he agreed to participate in. Prison was the right result for this Defendant.”
