LAWRENCE COUNTY—The Lawrence County Highway Department has announced that paving work on Davey Cox Road, from Highway 60 to Sonny Dorsett Road, will begin Monday, May 5, pending weather conditions.
Preparatory signage is being installed today, Friday, May 2. Any changes to the schedule due to weather will be communicated, and signage will be updated accordingly.
Due to recent weather-related delays, this is the only paving project in the county with a confirmed start date. The schedule for additional roadwork remains on hold, with updates to be shared as soon as they become available.
