BEDFORD— The Lawrence County Council has announced a special meeting to be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in the Lawrence County Courthouse, located at 916 15th Street, Suite 28, in Bedford.
The meeting will focus on budget discussions with these county departments:
- Landfill
- Veterans Affairs
- Circuit Court
- Auditor
- Coroner
- Forensic Services
Council members emphasized that the session is intended solely for internal discussions and no formal action will be taken. Public comments will not be permitted during the meeting.
The special meeting is part of the council’s ongoing efforts to evaluate departmental budget needs ahead of the next fiscal cycle.
