Community Leadership Panel on potential impacts of Senate Bill 1 will be Apr. 23 in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON- There will be a community leadership panel to discuss SB1. See all the details for the meeting below:

WHAT: A nonpartisan community leadership panel to discuss the local impact of Senate Bill 1. The discussion will educate residents, stakeholders, and the media on how recent changes to SB1 could affect municipalities, schools, and communities like Bloomington and Monroe County.

While SB1 was introduced as a means to provide tax relief for homeowners, recent changes to the legislation raise questions about long-term impacts on public services. With property tax bills newly issued and growing public interest, this event will provide space for informed discussion and press engagement on what lies ahead for the region.

WHO: City of Bloomington Mayor Kerry Thomson, in coordination with leaders from Monroe County and economic development sectors:
