Roachdale man arrested on charges of child seduction

PUTMAN CO. – In June of 2024, the Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation of a Roachdale man after receiving information concerning allegations of sexual exploitation and child solicitation with a minor.

The investigation revealed that Corey M. Reeves, age 36, of Roachdale, Indiana, had allegedly engaged in communicating with a minor via social media and provided controlled substances in exchange for child pornography from that minor. These allegations took place in Putnam County.  

After a lengthy criminal investigation and conducting digital forensics, the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Reeves on April 2, 2025. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arrested Reeves on the active warrant on April 8, 2025. Reeves was taken into custody without incident and is currently held in the Putnam County Jail on a $25,000.00 bond.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
