WASHINGTON COUNTY- The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 60 on or after Friday, February 7, in New Pekin.

The speed limit will decrease from 40 mph to 35 mph from approximately 800 feet west of Shorts Corner Road to approximately 315 feet east of Grove Street and South John Street. The decreased speed limit is intended to help enhance safety and mobility along S.R. 60.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
