BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested following a domestic dispute at a Sanders Lane apartment on Monday, January 27.
Tristan Hutcherson, 51, was charged with domestic battery.

Bedford Police responded to the apartment after receiving a call from a woman who stated that Hutcherson was in her apartment and not welcome. Upon arrival, officers found the woman outside the apartment holding a knife.
She told police she had been in a relationship with Hutcherson. She said an argument broke out after discovering messages on his phone to another woman. She alleged that Hutcherson struck her in the mouth with an open hand. She then grabbed a kitchen knife, and a struggle ensued, resulting in the woman suffering a cut.
Hutcherson, after being advised of his Miranda rights, confirmed he was in the apartment and that Crews confronted him with a knife after seeing the messages.
The woman signed a battery affidavit, and the knife was taken as evidence.
Hutcherson was arrested, processed at the Bedford Police Station, and lodged in the Lawrence County Jail.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
