Anonymous tip lands Dubois man in jail on meth and firearm charges

DUBOIS – An anonymous tip left on the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department mobile app on Monday led to the arrest of a Dubois man on drug and firearm charges.

Police arrested 40-year-old Robert Rasche on charges of manufacturing meth in a garage behind his home.

Deputies seized over 21 grams of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, one body armor tactical vest with plates, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Rasche is facing felony charges of dealing and possession of meth, unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted domestic batterer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rasche pleaded not guilty during his initial court appearance in Dubois Superior Court and was released from the Dubois County Security Center after posting a $5,000 cash bond. He was placed on enhanced pretrial monitoring and shall comply with all conditions set forth in a pretrial release order. A pretrial hearing is set for September 5, at 9:00 a.m.
