MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested on Sunday, August 4th, after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Kenton Carter responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 100 block of State Road 158.

When Deputy Carter arrived at 11:15 a.m., he found 38-year-old Robert Henderson, who appeared to be impaired. Deputy Carter then noticed Suboxone pills in plain view.
Deputies Bailey Duprey and Davis Miller arrived to assist.
Police then found five grams of meth.
Henderson was transported to IU Health Bedford Hospital after police obtained a warrant for a blood draw.
Henderson was then medically cleared and transported to jail on charges of possession of meth, possession of a legend drug, leaving the scene of an accident, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
