BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Community School Cooperation announced staff changes.
Jason Shute is the new assistant principal at Childs Elementary. Shute has most recently been an elementary teacher at Clear Creek Elementary School. He has been with MCCSC since 2007.
Shute received his bachelor’s degree in sports communication from Indiana University. He later earned his master’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University.
Acacia Axsom has been an MCCSC nurse since 2019. Now she will be the new Director of Health Services.
Axsom has most recently been serving as a Registered Nurse at Batchelor Middle School, Clear Creek Elementary School, Early Learning Center, Lakeview Elementary School, and Hoosier Hills Daycare Center. Ms. Axsom earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Erin Stalbaum, is the new MCCSC Director of Professional Learning.
Dr. Stalbaum has most recently been serving as Director of Transformation Zone at Kokomo School Corporation for four years and as an educational consultant. She also served as the Senior School Improvement Specialist for the Indiana Department of Education from 2016-2018. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ball State University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from IUPUI, and received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University.
