LAWRENCE COUNTY – Early voting for the 2026 Primary Election is now underway in Lawrence County, providing residents with several opportunities to cast their ballots ahead of the May 5 Election Day.
According to a legal notice issued by the Lawrence County Election Board, the primary will include a wide range of federal, state, and local races, including contested seats for United States Representative, County Commissioner, and several Township Board positions.
To ensure all eligible voters can participate, the Lawrence County Voter Registration Office and the Mitchell Senior Citizen Center have established specific “early” voting hours beginning this April. Community members are encouraged to review the full list of Democratic and Republican candidates as they prepare to head to the polls.
