BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc., is scheduled to begin a bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 31 between Taylorsville and Columbus on or after Monday, April 6.
The project will take place between Lowell Road and Commerce Drive and is expected to be completed in late July, weather permitting. During the project, the construction speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph and weekend 10-foot lane width restrictions will be in effect Friday through Monday.
This project is part of a contract awarded to E&B Paving in October 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
