BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington is aware of the announced workforce reduction at Novo and recognizes the impact this will have on workers and families in the community.
Novo Nordisk Site Head Lars Arnoldsen reached out directly to Mayor Kerry Thomson to share the news and discuss the impact locally.
“Our focus is on the individuals affected,” said Mayor Kerry Thomson. “We know this is a difficult moment for many, and we are committed to helping ensure that those impacted have clear pathways forward.”
The City appreciates that transition resources are being made available to employees. In coordination with the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) and local partners, the City will work to connect impacted individuals with employment opportunities, support services, and other available resources.
