Speed limit to be reduced on State Road 46 in Ellettsville

MONROE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on eastbound State Road 46 on or after Tuesday, March 31, in Ellettsville.

The school zone speed limit will be reduced from 30 mph to 25 mph between 2nd Street and Paul Street. Advanced school zone signs and flashers will be installed to help emphasize the change. The reduced speed limit is intended to enhance safety along the corridor.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
