ODON — The Town of Odon has announced an emergency water shutoff effective this morning, Monday, March 30, as crews work to repair a leaking hydrant.
The outage is expected to last from approximately 8 a.m. to Noon local time. Residents in the following areas will be directly impacted:
- Edgewood
- Lake Drive
- Edwards
- Woodhaven
Boil Water Advisory in Effect
Once water service is restored, town officials have issued a Boil Water Advisory for all affected residents. This advisory will remain in place until further notice.
During a boil advisory, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) typically recommends that residents bring all water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or oral hygiene.
Town officials are asking for the public’s patience while utility crews work to resolve the leak and stabilize the system.
