BROWN COUNTY – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Morphey Construction, Inc., is scheduled to begin a small structure replacement project on State Road 46 in Brown County on or after Wednesday, April 1.
The project will take place between Lower Schooner Road and Shipley Hollow Road and is expected to be completed in late April, weather permitting. During the project, S.R. 46 will be reduced to one lane using temporary traffic signals.
This project is part of a $4.3 million contract awarded to Morphey Construction in December 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
