INDIANA – The Department of Health and Human Services released the Administrative Simplification; Adoption of Standards for Health Care Claims Attachments Transactions and Electronic Signatures final rule (CMS-0053-F), also known as the HIPAA Standards for Health Care Attachments final rule, to reduce administrative burden, streamline administrative transactions, support improvements in administrative efficiency and patient care, and reduce manual processes.
