Bedford’s own Soda Babe mixes creative ‘dirty sodas’ and energy drinks across Southern Indiana

BEDFORD — A growing beverage trend known as “dirty sodas” is making its way to the 2026 Women’s Expo, where local business Soda Babe will be serving up its creative drink combinations for attendees this weekend.

Soda Babe, a Bedford-based beverage vendor, specializes in customizable “dirty sodas,” fruit-filled boba drinks, and energy drink blends they call “dirty Alanis.” The company says it aims to deliver bold flavors and refreshing twists on familiar drinks.

“Soda Babe is stirring up Dirty Sodas and Dirty Energy all across Southern Indiana,” the business said in a statement about its appearance at the expo. “Serving up bold flavors, creative mixes, and refreshing twists on your favorite drinks, Soda Babe brings the perfect pick-me-up for any occasion.”

Dirty sodas have surged in popularity in recent years, especially in the western United States. The drinks typically start with a base soda such as cola, root beer, or lemon-lime soda, then mix in flavored syrups, cream, fruit purees, or other sweet additions to create a dessert-like beverage.

Soda Babe’s menu reflects that trend with a variety of inventive flavor combinations.

Among the options is the “Hoosier Babe,” a dirty soda made with Big Red soda, vanilla cream, vanilla flavoring, and marshmallow fluff. Another option, “Island Lightning,” combines Mountain Dew with strawberry and mango flavors along with coconut cream.

The company also offers lemonade-based boba drinks, including “Watermelon Sugar,” which mixes lemonade with strawberry boba and watermelon flavor, and “Golden Hour,” a blend of lemonade, mango boba, and pineapple.

For energy drink fans, Soda Babe serves its “dirty Alani” creations, which combine flavored syrups and creams with Alani Nu energy drinks. One example is the “Barbie,” which features pink slush Alani energy drink mixed with vanilla cream, strawberry, and marshmallow fluff.

The business says the goal is to create fun, customizable beverages that stand out from traditional soft drinks.

Visitors to the Women’s Expo will have the opportunity to stop by the Soda Babe booth, try some of the drinks, and learn more about the growing dirty soda trend that has been gaining attention across the country.

The 2026 Women’s Expo will take place this Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm, at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County, featuring a wide variety of vendors, services, and businesses from across the region. Soda Babe encourages attendees to visit their booth to sample one of their signature drinks and “see what everyone’s talking about.”
