LAWRENCE CO. – Lawrence County Highway Department Supervisor Brian Sowder has released the paving schedule for the upcoming construction season. Several county roads are scheduled for resurfacing as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve local infrastructure.
The following road projects are included in this year’s paving plan:
- West Coxton Road – 1 mile
- Coxton Road – 1.6 miles
- Briarwood Avenue – 1 mile
- Greer Lane – 2 miles
- Clark Smith Road – 2.3 miles
- Cassidy Lane – 1.4 miles
- Pinhook Road – 1.7 miles
- Brown Station Road – 1.3 miles
Contract bids for the paving projects have been reviewed and awarded at the Commissioners meeting on Tuesday. E&B Paving was the lowest bidder for all listed roads except Pinhook Road. Milestone Contractors submitted the lowest bid for the Pinhook Road project.
Work is expected to begin during the upcoming paving season. Residents who travel these routes may experience temporary delays while construction is underway. The Highway Department appreciates the public’s patience as these improvements are completed to enhance the safety and quality of Lawrence County roadways.
