FREMONT – An Indiana State Police Probationary Trooper set out on one of his first solo patrols and makes arrest taking over 73 grams of suspected methamphetamine off the streets.
On Saturday, February 21, just after midnight, a Probationary Trooper who just recently completed his Field Training and received his first Indiana State Police white over blue Dodge Durango was out on one of his first solo patrols. As he patrolled Steuben County, it was not long before he made a traffic stop for a simple equipment violation near State Road 120 and County Road 50 West.

After a brief encounter with the people inside the vehicle, evidence of drug possession was discovered. After backup arrived, a search found over 73 grams of suspected methamphetamine. This new Trooper was present in his community, pro-active by making traffic stops for “simple” equipment violations, and purpose driven by further investigating what he saw during the traffic stop to make an impact. Because of his efforts, the suspected methamphetamine is out of the Steuben County community.
Lydia Tuckerman, 25, of Bradenton, FL was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony and dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony.
Tyler Brown, 39, of Muncie, IN was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony, dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Both were transported to the Steuben County Jail and incarcerated on their individual charges.
This arrest is based upon probable cause of a crime, all crimes mentioned are alleged and all suspects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
