BEDFORD – A local woman is facing criminal charges after security cameras allegedly captured her repeatedly harassing a resident and violating a protective order during the early morning hours of October 3, 2025.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Officer Zakry E. Brooking of the Bedford Police Department, authorities were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of I Street at approximately 11:08 p.m.. The female complainant, reported that Cassandra Ping, 39, had been pacing in front of the home between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. that morning.

The incident was captured on a home security system. Although the video timestamps were off by one hour, the footage reportedly showed Ping engaged in a series of disruptive behaviors over the course of nearly 40 minutes.
At approximately 5:17 a.m. Ping allegedly spent nearly two minutes shining a cell phone flashlight at the house from the sidewalk and across the street.
In subsequent clips, Ping was allegedly heard yelling, “I’ll be at your work next,” and calling the residents “cowards” and “bitches” while pacing back and forth.
Ping reportedly yelled that she would post a video online to ensure a local business would know why a resident was not at work
The situation escalated when a resident stepped onto the porch to confront Ping. The affidavit describes a heated exchange in which Ping allegedly screamed accusations at a male victim. He eventually retreated inside to call the police, later telling officers that Ping walks by his house almost daily and that he went outside because he heard her throw something at the building.
Officer Brooking confirmed that the victim holds a valid protective order against Ping, which was served on June 8, 2025. The order strictly prohibits Ping from harassing, annoying, or contacting the victim, or from coming near the victim’s residence or place of employment.
Based on the evidence from the security footage and the active court order, police requested an arrest warrant for Ping on charges of invasion of privacy. She was detained on February 9th.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This article is based on the information provided in the probable cause affidavit and does not represent a final determination of guilt or innocence.
