Obituary: Diana Ramsey

July 9, 1948 – February 15, 2026

Diana Kay Ramsey, 77, of Springville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

She was born to Stanley and Faye (McKinney) Hicks, who preceded her in death. Diana was born on July 9, 1948, and graduated from Needmore High School in 1966.  She married Richard Wayne Ramsey on August 27, 1966, and he preceded her in death. They were married for 57 years.  Diana was a homemaker and cared for her family.  She was a member and led the card ministry at Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

Diana will always be remembered for her deep love and unwavering devotion to her family, who meant more to her than anything else. She dedicated many years to teaching her children and grandchildren to love Jesus and live out their faith.

Nothing brought her more joy than cheering them on at baseball, softball, and basketball games, or watching them shine in cheer and gymnastics. She lovingly hand cross-stitched quilts for each grandchild and great-grandchild to celebrate their birth, a lasting symbol of her care and dedication. Her happiest days were spent baking cookies and friendship bread to share with those she cherished. Diana also found great joy in tending her plants and creating a warm, welcoming home. Above all, she faithfully and tenderly cared for her husband, nurturing the lifelong love they shared.

Diana is survived by her three children: Scott (Wendy) Ramsey of Fayetteville, Michelle (Philip) True of Bedford, and Brett (Alexis) Ramsey of Pensacola, FL, her brother, Mike (Debbie) Hicks of Indianapolis, and her sister Sandy (Jim) Cobb of Bedford.

She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Logan (Katie) Gore, Jacob (Delaney) Ramsey, Garrett Ramsey, Katelyn Ramsey, Boston True, Tucker True, Scout Ramsey, and Shepherd Ramsey.  She also had 1 great-grandchild, Elliott Ramsey.

She had two grandsons who preceded her in death:  Hudson and Kirk True.

Funeral services will be held at Day and Carter Mortuary on Thursday, February 19th at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Cresthaven Cemetery.  Pastor Dave Ferry will officiate.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Day and Carter Mortuary.
