INDIANAPOLIS – Bedford North Lawrence sisters Ava and Sabrina Lipp capped their girls swimming season with their performances in the IHSAA state finals preliminary races on Friday night at the IU Natatorium.
Ava, a senior, finished 31st in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.65. Sabrina, a sophomore, came in 31st in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.21.
The top eight in each event advanced to the state championship races on Saturday, while places 9-16 qualified for the state consolation races.
