LAWRENCE CO. — Lawrence County election officials have issued a final reminder that the deadline to file a declaration of candidacy for the 2026 primary nomination is Friday, February 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) local time.

With the cutoff just days away, the Lawrence County Clerk’s office is preparing for a final rush of filings. This deadline is critical for any individual seeking a spot on a major party ticket for the upcoming spring primary.
