Janet S. (Dietz) Pierce, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Majestic Care of Bedford.
Janet was born on December 29, 1938. She married Kelsie E. Pierce, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2025. Janet had previously worked at Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her sons, Greg Pierce of Bedford and Byron Ira of Oolitic; grandchildren, Les-Paul Couch, Taylor Ira, Byron Ira, Jr., Melissa Cody, and Damian Chapman; and great-grandchildren, Krue, Kylie, Jamison Miles Cody, and Kadance Kylie Cody.
Her husband, daughter, Melanie Burner, son, Kevin Pierce, and granddaughter, Kylie, preceded her in death.
Cremation has been chosen.
